Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen 2013/10/20

Today,  early in the morning, I visited with some friends the area of the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen. An area between the cities Zandvoort and Noordwijk along the North sea coastand about 3,400 hectares large.
The area is still used for providing the city of Amsterdam of its drinking water and one of the largest nature parks of The Netherlands. About 2000 deer are living in the park and its surroundings. Now in autumn the male deer are fighting for their herd of females. It goes along with a special noise (burling?).

Because of the early hour there was some morning mist which showed nature at its most beautiful hour. We made a walk from 8:00 till 10:00 and the deer couldn't be missed of course....

At my site I will show you a few of the pictures I made.

Enjoy,
